New Cadillac CT5
August 28 2019, Frost Cadillac
When Cadillac introduced the CTS more than 15 years ago, the brand essentially changed its reputation and proved that it can develop high-performance vehicles with plenty of Cadillac luxury found within. Other examples have followed including the Cadillac CTS-V. Now, Cadillac is opening a new chapter in its sedan history with the brand-new Cadillac CT5 which is expected to arrive towards the end of the year.
We don’t know everything about the new Cadillac CT5, but we do know enough. We expect that it will be offered with a range of engines including a new 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine paired to a 10-speed automatic gearbox which will surely deliver impressive performance to go along with low fuel consumption. Expect more powerful versions to be offered as well including a six-cylinder option and a powerful CT5-V model. We know that Cadillac will offer three versions of its new CT5 including the Luxury, Premium Luxury and Sport. What binds these three models together is impressive technology aimed at improving comfort, performance, and safety. Examples include Active Noise Cancellation, Forward Collision Alert with Automatic Emergency Braking, Safety Alert Seat, a 10-inch diagonal centre touchscreen, natural voice recognition with two mics, and a new Cadillac user experience system with rotary control.
Other safety features include Lane Change Alert, Side Blind Zone Alert, Rear Park Assist, and Adaptive Cruise Control. Other features that we will enjoy every day include Wireless Charging and memory driver seat. The Cadillac CT5 Sport will add a sportier grille, larger wheels, 18-way adjustable sport seats, Brembo brakes, sport steering wheel with Magnesium paddle shifters.
We will surely learn more about the new Cadillac CT5 in the next few years including pricing, engine lineup, power, and other advanced features of Cadillac’s new and improved luxury sedan.
